Galery Show

When my mom was visiting today, we went to go see the gallery show that the VAs put on!
There was alot of abstract work, still lifes, silhouttes, photograpthy, and many other pieces. They were pure genious to look at!
I saw alot of my friends up there and it was fascinating to see there work as a final product, especially after seeing them in the proccess of being created.... I loved the showing alot :) hopefully there is another soon!

Arts Wednesday is always best

Ok....so I have discovered that weather is VERY different in North Carolina than on a penninsula in Massachusettes...
We had around 4 tornado warnings last night and one so far today....and I have had no expirence with such events back up north... Last night, the first was around 11:45pm and lasted until around 12:30am. Another 2:45am-3:15pm, one around 4am and another at 6:45am...and then another today 2pm ish until 2:56pm.
I have to go to dance now!

Sweet Sunday

It's almost the close of another week here.
Friday and saturday were VERY eventfull for me.
Friday was school and dance...as usual. Then came the dance. It was scheduled to start at 8pm, but all the dancers in Nutcracker (So....not me) and alot of the drama kids had rehersals and such until 930. A large portion of the people attending the dance didn't show up until 930 or 10-ish. It went until 12am. It was different from our first dance wayyyy back in september. We were in a really tight space then...not that that had any negative effect ;)
This time it was a larger space. It wasn't too...dirty...but it wasn't too....clean either. It was just plain AWESOME!
Then, we watched a little bit of "The Grudge" (bad idea) and went to bed.
Yesterday, I finally met my super sweet host family! Michael and BJ!
They are sooooo kind! All of the students and families in the host family program had a large "get to know you" kind of dinner. There was ligitimate food that wasn't made in a cafeteria. Also, all the host families brought/baked us deserts!
I had soo much fun! Then we all remembered that there was an orchestra concert going on at the Steven Center at 730pm. Alot of the students went back to the dorms and re-sighned out to go on bus to this show with our friends in it!
It cost $13, but we got in FREE cause we go to the school. oh boy, it was BEAUTIFUL! The last piece was my favorite it was 4 sections of a work by Brahhm.

Tuesday...sorry for delay

Hey y'all! Sorry I just posted...I skipped Monday =]
So today...2 fire alarms in one day. 3 in the last 48 hours....WHAT?!?
Yesterday I wasn't in my dorm since it was only like...9ish. I was watching a rehersal for Fall Dance(contemporary highschool/college students) in DeMille Theatre so I didn't need to worry!
But ohhhh I SURE heard about that one alright. No one is ever happy when that happens unexpectedly(not that you truely could anticipate a fire alarm...), you see people walking around in robes and towels and pjs, some times even w/o shoes. Tonight, you could see all that AND people were also walking around covered in blankets. Some of the girls were playing little games and giggling. ;)
In math class yesterday, some one (not to be named, though he knows who he is...lol jk) was spinning their ruler around there pencil. They sat diagonaly behind me. Out of nowhere a ruler flyes at the side of my face and collides with the middle of my neck! Who knew that math was so violent!
I have decided to do masquerade style for halloween dance on Friday! (ONLY 2.50 Days!!!!)
This requires my attending the mall trip tomorrow night... :) Yay mall

Sunday sunday...almost monday

Lots of sleep... hahaha best thing about a sunday morning here on campus for me is that I can really sleep in! I had nothing to do this morining, so it didn't matter! Though I slept through brunch....  I might go to the Pickle Jar ( the snack/food store at UNCSA, also one of the major gather/chilling places for college and hihschool students) For those who were unaware...our school mascot is The Fighting Pickles! Well what can you expect? It's an art school!  Oh how I love these artists and their amazing amount of uniqueness. (is that even a word?!?)
Well I have pilates again at 430pm 'til 530pm. It's at the fitness center...I haven't been there since last weekend when we were playing the most amazing campus wide game of Humans versus Zombies...though that's a story for another post! Let's just say it is a very large game of Man Hunt but with foam swords, socks, and 100 times more fun! It lasted 5 whole days!
The other best part about Sunday is all the people who left for the weekend, return! Finally! :)
So I think I'll go see who is at the Pickle...I'm hungry.
More tonight.

My Randomness

-The wind runs through the trees.
It's stirring up the leaves,
it's messing with your scarves,
pulling at your sleeves.

-Is it lonely here,
or am i just finaly aware
of how few were actually near?

-Is it possible that we may not be able to find the one purpose of life because we have more than one? We may never notice it, but we impact so many lives dailey. Your purpose could be multiple things because each thing you do will effect your friends, family, aquaintinces, any one at all.

Thanks for reading!

Today, Hmm..

Again, to recap, I went to pilates this morning. I went to the mall this afternoon.
The mall has been thus far one of the most entertaining parts of today.... I spent alot of time taking pictures of friends and observing the "average citizens" seen at this mall.
Alot of time was also spent pondering halloween costumes! sigh, oh what to wear for this "party"?
The intense part of this trip to the mall  was at the very end.... some people were told the wrong time for when the bus left to return to campus.... oh geeze.
3 people ran and made it, but a few decided to call a cab :)
Tonight alot of people went out on a trip to "Spooky Woods" for halloween.
I am anxiously awaiting to hear stories of screams, laughs, drama, etc.

First Official Post

So far, this has been a quiet campus.
So many people left to visit family this weekend, so no one is around where they usually are!
My amazing roommate had PSATs. I woke up really early (7:14am)! Kind of abnormal for Saturday mornings! I took pilates which really woke me up!
I have been obsesed with listening to songs from Across the Universe lately. (If you haven't seen this movie, I highly recomend!)
I'm off to the mall! Typical stress relief, and a chance to get back in touch with the real world.
Trying to convince people to watch a movie tonight.
It's starting to finally feel like fall today! I don't know how to explain it, but when fall truly arrives, you just...can feel it, you know?

New Blog: What this is all about!

Dear You...Yes You!
Well, I must welcome you to my Blog! I'm new at this, so bare with me if you will.
I am at a performing art school, getting the chance of a lifetime to follow my dream.
I've known for...well a long time that I was ment to perform. I love entertaining. I love ART!
As a young child, as most little girls will, I dreamed of being a dancer. Being the performer I am, I was immediatly drawn to dancing, expressing the music. I was, and still, love classical ballet.
Now, at UNCSA (University of North Carolina School of the Arts) I am on my way there.
This blog is going to follow my fun, stressed, improving, confusing, life lesson builing year of boarding away from home as I major in Ballet!
Hope you enjoy!
